Very very sad news. Malcolm was the voice of scholarship on Mudcat, immensely knowledgeable, painstaking in his pursuit of truth, quick to pounce on sloppy and ill-considered statements, eloquent in defence of traditional music, always ready to help to point you in the direction of what you were seeking, and occasionally an irascible old bastard. A great man, I shall miss him hugely.
