Sad news for the world, the folk world and Mudcat.

Kind thoughts to those who knew and loved him.

I only encountered him here, and his contributions were always enlightening, knowledgeable and informative.

If that makes him sound dry, he was anything but.

He always backed up his thoughts with references.

Any time we did cross swords, it was invariably me who was wrong, and it was others, never Malcolm who made sure I knew it.

The world is now a lesser, less knowledgeable place.
