Starting in 1982 he began actively working with and for Vietnam Veterans Against The War, Swords To Plowshares and Vietnam Veterans Of America to further the cause of the thousands of veterans who had become disenfranchised by the system's neglect. He also started his work with military nurses. He collects nurse dolls.
