Thread Name: Excellent Mudcat parody
Subject: RE: Excellent Mudcat parody
There is no point in starting yet another thread about attitudes to traditional music: academic v pisstake, if you like. I have already said so in reply to someone who told me this was not the topic. It is. I also don't believe "Da Management" would want multiple threads on the same theme.

I am speaking to what I see as the implications of the topic and what I believe "Frank" was getting at, though I could, of course, be wrong.

Many of you, however, are now talking about me. Why? I'm not the topic nor am I interesting, but the state of the music industry and possibly ways to rescue and boost traditional music is, and is crucially important.

Do continue (if you really want) to ignore the herds of elephants rampaging about the room. Some deity of choice might step in with a miracle to rescue our cultural heritage. Though I wouldn't bank on it.
