Food-finding is an odd art. I have seen persons pursuing it by rummaging through trash cans, and pursuing it through smelling stalks and leaves, and pursuing it by delicately wandering through the Yellow Pages, and pursuing it electronically on Google and iPhone applications, not t mention through the age-honored method of gossiping about where Food is to be Found.

It is probably the greatest indoor sport in the world. Some find Food by loping barefoot through the hinterlands, others by squeezing packets wrapped in cellophane, others by peering interminably into the refrigerator or pantry, or poring over the crap-racks in the 7-11.

No wonder we have so many words for shit in our language--just think how much time and trouble we go to to produce it!!
