I met him at the Press Club in Washington back in the late 70's. I was surprised at his size. He was a big man.And, unique in his field.
So many of the great ones are gone, David Brinkley (my favorite), Chet Huntley, Harry Reasoner,Walter Cronkite, Gabriel Heater, Ed Bradley,Lowell Thomas...I'm dating myself.
