Actually, I was thinking since my earlier post; If I were advertising for potential group members, I'm not too sure I'd want to post here. Consider the scenario: you manage to get several mudcat musos together - friendly, knowledgable and witty bunch - and everything is going well. Then about an hour into the third practice session, somebody says something contentious, like "is this really a folk song?". Before you know what's happening, several unexpexted 'Guests' appear from nowhere, blood is drawn and you find yourself sidling towards the door muttering the immortal line......

Seriously, you could try Footstompin'....no, it's not a new dance, it's a celtic music website with a forum, based in Edinburgh, but with contributors all over the place. I'd guess there might be a few 'stompers' in the north east. Can't remember the address... I always just Google it.
