Ducks are strange creatures and will nest where they want... there may yet be a duck nesting in a cement mixer or tucked under a pile of pallets... Limpit's school has a little community of ducks in their grounds - in a pond totally surrounded by classrooms, busy corridors and screaming teenagers. They have successfully bred there for at least 5 years.
