Thread Name: Folkster Youngsters
Subject: RE: Folkster Youngsters
I'm pretty young too, or so my mother tells me, I'm only 48 and I love folk! ;-)

(kidding, of course) I see a large number of young folk music lovers/musicians in the circle I travel. Dallas is a pretty big city, so I don't know how representitive are the numbers of youngsters I see out performing good folk - but; they're there! We have a fine performer/songwriter here named Jeff Wiliamson, who is about 20 years old and making his way in the folk clubs around town, a gifted writer and musician with great appreciation for the folk roots. There is also a gifted singer songwriter by the name of Heather Clickard around town with strong folk-style influences in her performance, and great love for the folk roots - and the list goes on.

I suspect if you look in at all of the sessions and open mics of your town (or the nearest big city) you'll find a number of talented, folk loving youngsters like yourself. If not; come on down to Dallas - we'd love to have ya!
