I used to love Bud Shank's duets with Bob Cooper. Extraordinary interplay. I was not totally in love with West Coast cool jazz, but those two were brilliant. And didn't they play with Jim Hall too? A legendary guitarist. I would imagine a surprising number of folkies would like Bud Shank and his many and varied experiments: a great man.
