Nice to see that there is no need to get paranoid (unless you are a 'box' player) and it is encouraging for those who have been learning a tune, only to find that is someone else's dread, to see that dread is not shared universally.
The strength of a session is everyone being able to play together. To do that everyone needs to know the tune being played. It is not somewhat strange when a tune that everyone knows and can play together is then considered 'old hat' ?
There is not much worse than when only the more obscure tunes are played and the majority of players can only watch and admire. Trying to meet a balance is probably best..
