In the video that Peace linked, just about all of the tents are of the same type. They are not individual, scrabbled together shelters. That implies, surely, that someone, some agency, issued them? Where is this agency? How can this happen?

I should add that the police in that video felt that they were just following their orders; They were taking no joy in it. I'll bet that they don't sleep well these nights.

Something MUST be done; these kinds of shelters - and worse - are being set up across the country and if we don't have plans in place to deal wlith the phenomenon of forced homelessness this kind of thing will happen all across the country. It is not a world I want to live in.
