David Johnson (author of "Music and Society in 18th Century Scotland" and "Scottish Fiddle Music of the 18th Century", editor of some of the volumes of "Musica Scotica", cellist and composer) died suddenly at his home in Edinburgh a few days ago, a few weeks short of his 67th birthday.

The funeral is at 12pm on Tuesday April 21st, at Warriston Crematorium, Edinburgh.

I'll miss him.
