Would that include the International Council For Traditional Music, formerly the International Folk Music Council (who came up with 1954 Definition in the first place) whose aims are to further the study, practice, documentation, preservation and dissemination of traditional music, including folk, popular, classical and urban music, and dance of all countries? I don't give a rat's ass about the ICFTM or their goals, other than being glad that someone is studying and talking about music. Popular, classical, and urban music aren't traditional folk music. Does anyone actually think they are?
