Hope you had the turn out Jed. Sometimes it is not about how well you publicized the event but if the artist is known. Folks will gladly spend money on a case of beer instead of a ticket to something that they are not familiar with.
I have a show taking place on may 28th with a fiddle player by the name of Richard Wood from Prince Edward Island who has preformed with the Chieftains, Bowfire, Riverdance, and others. Plus has won three East Coast Music Awards and I am fighting like hell to sell tickets to a product that few in my Province have heard of. I pay almost $17.00 for a case of 12 and folks won't spend $15.00 to come and hear an accomplished artist. As well his guitarist (Gordon Belsher ) is a two time award nominee and a great singer.
