Interesting that the BBC4 docco 'The Jazz Baroness' was a spinoff from a 30 min. radio programme on BBC R4. The radio version told the story of Nica buying in a table tennis table as Monk loved to play, not a mention in the TV docco, yet there was time for endless footage of mooching around NY.
There were also clips in the TV docco from a Jazz 625 session which I'm sure weren't in the 625 shown last night. Makes me think that the stories I've heard about there being two 625 Monk sessions recorded at the Marquee to be true so can we have a look at the second one please?
