Subject: RE: BS: The Best Worst Films
I was so irritated at having foolishly spent $8 on "Independence Day" that I could have happily punched the director in the nose upon leaving the theatre. I felt embarrassed to be even seen walking out of there. Same goes for that wretched Godzilla movie that was set in the USA (New York City) in the late 90's. Godawful. I think it may even have been the same director that did both those movies.

Another film I thought was simply terrible was "Signs", and it finished me for going to Mel Gibson movies or to anything directed by M. Knight Shyamalan.

I happen to like science fiction. That liking has suckered me into seeing some really crummy movies from time to time.

Which reminds me...back in the 70s I made the same mistake when I bought a ticket for the movie "Frogs". Boy was that a baaaaaaad movie! It's astonishing that anyone would even bother to make such a feeble attempt at horror science-fiction or have the nerve to market it after it was done.
