Subject: RE: BS: The Best Worst Films
I loved "Assassination Of Jesse James." The acting was superb. For my recent worst, I wold nominate Peter Jackson's "King Kong." It was an overblown piece of crap, poorly written and a waste of some good character actors. Also, Jackson needs to figure out a way to make his models square in size with his CGI monsters. It was a little noticeable in LOTR, but very blatant in Kong. That ape seems to expand and contract in size on a frequent basis. If I may be permitted one more swipe, allow me to trash Sergio Leone's "Once Upon A Time In America." There are those who consider it a masterpiece. These people are morons. It is weirdly written, and the cast is mostly awful actors, except for De Niro. He was completely wasted in it, but the others all disappeared in his presence.
