Look at these two beauties. They're doing their trick called "Down. Stay." Okay, sometimes the pit cheats and does her cute commando crawl. But mostly they do it very well. They're dawg sized dogs (the catahoula is 45 lbs, the pit bull is 55 lbs.) They'll show up in your pickup truck if you let them sit on the back seat (though if you borrowed these two don't you DARE put them in the bed of an open pickup!)

They're smart, they do a few tricks, they offer unconditional love (especially when you have dog treats in your pocket!), they bark at stuff, they kill things (so far the list includes one (and only one, we hope) skunk, squirrels, possums, and sorry to say, a few of my tarantulas, lizards, and snakes.

How can you go wrong with a duo like this? Those deer will stay away. Period. The pit was an injured "no such thing as a free dog" stray, the catahoula came from the humane society.
