So here we are in the middle of a "credit crunch" caused by banks lending money to people who couldn't repay, and the Government's way out is to borrow money they cannot afford to repay!

BTW, loads of people in the media refer to "a" credit crunch, despite the term being recently coined - why not "the" credit crunch?
