One of Billy Connolly's funniest stories was of going into a music shop in Glasgow and finding the sheet music of Hank Williams songs with the yodeling written out word-for-word - 'yodel-e-dodle-e-do-del-dee...etc'
As much as I enjoy yodelling and all similar styles of vocal techniques, and despite the fact that I cut my musical teeth on Hank Willimas records, I've never (quite) been able to take it seriously as an art form.
