I've been asked to "do the Special Music" this Sunday at Fremont Baptist, and since the set will include folk tune material (both American and Kenyan) I thought I'd mention it here. The Kenyan songs are

*Simoni, Unanipenda (PDF; MIDI)

The lectionary gives Psalm 23 for the day, so the American item will be the Isaac Watts 23rd, "My Shepherd will supply my need", to the folk tune Resignation (from the Southern Harmony).

"Simoni, Unanipenda" is envisioned as meditative background to the distribution of the Communion elements; the others will be sung earlier in the service, and the congregation will be encouraged to join in them.
