I'm determined to get to the bottom of this. I've already spoke to one rep in the UK who wasn't much help. I've been watching this conversation go on online for 15 years. It's time that Fender made a statement that either they can decode the serial numbers or that they made a mistake in making them meaningless. We'll get an official comment from Fender in this thread before I'm done.
