Many hours of rain this evening, band after band passing over the top. I had a hellish drive to the hardware store earlier this afternoon. When I realized what I was driving into and had the good sense to get off the freeway and turn around to head home it was already raining so hard that maneuver was quite a challenge. Making my way through some streets and pointed back home put me in the position of seeing that the storm that had gone over the top of me once was now over my house. But if I made a right turn away from the freeway frontage road, it was clearing and bright. So weird. So I drove a few blocks south and stopped at another store I'd been planning to go to, and walked in without getting wet.
