I wish all the very best to Pete Seeger on is 90th birthday!

he has had a tremendous career and clearly met some remarkable people on the journey

I listened last night to BBC R4 programme dedicated to his work which included extracts of many years from their archives

Singing and leading others in choruses and bringing to the attention of the World the plight of others, particularly during the 1960s in the USA, Martin Luther King and racial segregation and before that the witch hunt of McCarthism

Who would have believed that the US would now have a black President in the early noughties!

People's need for fair play and playing field which is as level as possible, as well the elimination of starvation and oppression are ideals which we must all aspire to
