Subject: RE: Music In Michigan (Charley Noble)? 20-23 April
Just got back to Maine around 2 pm in the afternoon. For some reason there is a calico cooncat glued to my lap as I post this; she seems very happy!

I'm now sorting through all the CD's that I purchased at Elderly Instruments, looking for the tracks that were my favorites on the long road home. Certainly "There Are No Words" by Kitty Donohoe, as re-released on NORTHERN BORDER, is a powerful song about 9/11/01. Then there's Wanda Degan's rendition of "The Keewenaw Light." My other favorites were by Joel Mabus: "Touch a Name on the Wall," "Sea of Dreams," "First Times," "If Wishes Were Horses," and "The Duct Tape Blues." I'm planning to post the lyrics and links for these and a few others, as they come to mind, on a new thread titled "Michigan Musically Revisited."

My thanks again to the folks above who put me up and hosted song parties. I certainly had a wonderful time.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble, back in Maine
