In the US or Canada HP offers the CD. I didn't go all the way to completion of an order, so I didn't get a firm price, but I would expect it to be nominal - possibly just the shipping charge.

(I don't see a quick way to get to a UK HP site via the links I usually use, since it seems to automatically default me to the North American support site.)

The basic driver package looks like about 31 MB, which could be a problem with a slow (dial-up?) connection. There is a "full package" that's around 290 MB that quite probably would hit a server timeout on many US dial-up connections. (Some dial-up services here drop the connection after a period of "inactivity" but appear to consider only key-strokes on your machine as "activity," so a long download looks like you're not doing anything.)

Since the drivers may be "regionalized" - slightly different for different parts of the world - it probably would be safest to find someone in your own area if you have to "borrow" what you need.
