In summertime (as now, relatively speaking) Juneau exchanges its snowblowers and dulmp trucks for the ubiquitous street cleaner vehicle. Not as noisy as a snowblower grinding a frozen berm to the pavement and quicker to pass by but the sound travels a fair distance.

We are in the throes of tourist season here. Great hulking crluiseships loom outside my windows.
