Hi Simon. We forgive you.

Not a lot of song circles. If you're in Halifax, we have a couple of places to check out. Halifax's Harbour Folk Society has a monthly Kitchen Party with a Feature and then a song circle after. This happens on the Saturday May 16th at 8PM. This month's feature is a man/wife combo, James and June Crouse. James is a fabulous guitar player.

As well there is the Rose and Kettle Concert Sessions also held at the same location. This begins earlier, at 7PM, and this week's (Thursday May 14th)feature is a Songwriter's Circle. One of the songwriters this week will be Al Macdonald. He's the creator of Heading for Halifax and There ain't no flies on King John, plus many many more.

If you need directions:Cole Harbour Farm Museum. The Rose and Kettle Tearoom is part of the Cole Harbour Farm museum and is at 471 Poplar Drive. You can put it into Google Maps.
