It's them and the Herb Robert this year. War has been declared, even if it means resorting to chemical warfare! The Herb Bennet isn't quite as invasive.

Herb Robert is a sort of little wild geranium...I thought it was a pretty name, (as with Herb Bennet), so I bought one of each about 12 years ago. It's been a constant battle ever since as it seeds EVERYWHERE. It starts off very tiny, and all of a sudden it's there and flowering. Stinks horribly of nasty geraniums when you pull it up.

De-cluttered the little wild pond this afternoon, and cut the long grass round it with a pair of scissors. Yes, there were buttercups in there too! However, I am allowing them there, even though I did chop them down a bit. Got the old sieve out to scoop duck weed (and, unfortunately, baby pond snails too).
Also planted up the basket on the front wall of the house. Just got to remember to water it now!
