Well, as noted in the Obama and torture thread, it is appropriate to go after Pelosi. (Don't know about Holder - haven't read about that.)

I think it important that everyone be held accountable.

The big issue, as always, is sorting out the "spin". Liberals, of which I are one, are going to want to absolutely excuse Pelosi. Neo-cons are going to want to crucify her.

Truth is, all are accountable. She may well have been deliberately mislead. But she should have waited with her utter denials until she researched what had actually occurred regarding briefings. She has certainly been around long enough that she should have known to hold comment until she figured out what she had or had not been told. If she had responded with integrity, instead of reacting with denial born of political expediency, she wouldn't be in the hot seat right now, and would not have gven this opportunity to the neo-cons.

While I fully understand the gamesmanship involved in American politics, I do not accept it as necessary, and will not excuse it on either side.
