An old friend used to say, "If scotch were the only drink available in the world, I would never have become an alcoholic." I feel much the same way about gin, (except that I'm fortunate enough not to be an alcoholic - and God be with any who are.) Truth is, other than water, vodka is the only clear liquid that ever passes my lips. However, I'd much rather drink the browner stuff, such as good Irish whiskey.
