I don't suppose the entity that is SoH would have risen to top the South-West pub circuit if they'd asked my advice on whether they should try it because I'd have said no, stick to what you do well. However, having not done a gig since the early 70s I'd look askance at anyone silly enough to seek my views on how to perform.

Commentators don't advise, they analyse. Not that it takes much of that to recognise that Beer & Knightley avoid going broke by underplaying what they might achieve musically because they have a ready-made audience that laps it up.
