I realize that it borders on the immoral but I prefer a vodka martini to a gin one.Recipe:

                   2 shots of vodka
                   dry vermouth
                   olives
Pour the vodka into a martini glass, put in 3 olives on a swizzle stick, uncork (or uncap) the dry vermouth and waft the cork (cap) over the vodka and olives, then recork (recap) the bottle. Stir with affection. Et voilà! Nirvana!
