The kitchen is looking a lot better and now, after a big bonfire, the garden is looking a better too. There was a big pile of buddlea cuttings (remember, I decluttered it to about a third of its previous height) that had wilted down nicely, and turned to kindling. So that went up in flames this evening. Now it's a much smaller pile of debris, that is big enough and not too twiggy, to get into rubble sacks and dispose of properly. That means, with only a little work, the garden should be in a fit state for company next weekend.

I did a bit of moving around in the front room too... just little things like glasses and pencil boxes, but again, I'll wait and see how long it takes Manitas to realise.

A weekend so far of little jobs, that has made a huge difference to part of the house.
