All North Carolina counties have been moved out of drought status, though a number are still classified as abnormally dry. Water tables are still not fully replenished, Though March and April were not as wet as we might like, they were a big improvement over the last 3-4 years. The first two weeks of May provided some decent rain in these parts, and other than one hot snap with temps in the upper 80's to 90F, we are having quite a moderate May. Last week, highs stayed in the low to mid 70's, and this week, and it looks like next week, highs are likely to stay down in the low 80's. Chance of showers, but iffy.
Over all, temps have been moderate this spring, and rain fall adequate, but only adequate.
