Some grey cell way back there remembers the "coconut water" version, before the Andrews Sisters. (Query: Is there such a time as "before the Andrews Sisters"?)

Also, I remember hearing that the first commercial exposure of Calypso music in USA was a recording by Robert Mitchum - and that this began the interest that led to the appearance and subsequent success of Harry Belafonte.
