Thread Name: Lyr Req: A Modern Yodelling Song (Slim Dusty)
Subject: Lyr Req: ...yodel through my sunburned nose
I had a 78 when I was a kid. Some of the lines of the song are still with me but most of it is lost and forgotten.

I don't know its origins. It was a comic coyboy song sung by an Australian -- (Buddy Williams?? Don't know really)
Here's what I remember:

All dressed up (maybe not exact words) in my saddle
As I ride through town today
Folks in town look at me and frown
But I grin back and say

You can have your (something) and (something)
You can jeer at my western clothes
But I can rope and sing like anything
And yodel through my sunburned nose.

Yodel-a-dee-o Yodel-a-dee-o Yodel-a-dee.

The rest is gone. Maybe there was more in the first bit??

Anyway. Anybody remember it?
Cheers, Joy
