I had a heart virus several years ago...plenty of pain and congestive heart failure too. My cats seemed to know just where my chest hurt and they'd crawl over top of my heart, settle in just right and purr. The vibrations not only soothed the pain and relaxed the muscle but it put me to sleep, which is what I really needed. I also have PCOS and they know when I hurt, park themselves over the painful spot and purr. It ALWAYS helps. ALWAYS.

And Sins, I've skidded in cat vomit too...on a venture to the bathroom in the middle of the night....stepped in leftover mouse guts too. I love them anyway!!!!! :)
