We had the pleasure of meeting Katie and Helen last night - they did a support spot for us at "The Goose is Out" in Dulwich and told us about their new club and it sounds wonderful. It's also very reassuring to know that a new generation of people (or at least some of them) are so knocked out by hearing traditional music for the first time, without any warning or preparation, and want to get involved and learn everything they can about it.

They did a smashing song set too - all unaccompanied vocal harmony, two lovely voices, a great sense of humour and when they can sing songs like The Bonny Black Hare without giggling they'll be ready for prime time!

We also discovered that we've already met Katie's dad who is famous in an unrelated sector of the folk scene but I won't give the game away...
