Latest is very positive! The Fylde Dialect day now has participants coming from Cornwall to Northumbria, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and the lakes, Lancashire and Yorkshire. We have Prof. John Wells, emeritus professor of linguistics UCL, to deliver a key note speech and a healthy level of interest for the competitions.
