Just bought a yamaha fg-335 from a charity shop for £30...cant believe it!!!! My girlfriend was in the shop earlier, saw the guitar and thought to take note of the model. So when I came home on a break she told me about the guitar she saw.....I was in the car before she could finish! Bless those old ladies who sold me it, they were really happy for me to part with this money for charity....and I was!
I have cleaned it up, oiled the fret board and metal wooled the frets (almost no wear). I will replace the nut and saddle with bone...the string spacing was awful!! I think a sanding of the bridge will be in order for lower action, but the saddle slit is quite deep....happy days!!! Straight neck too....whoo hoo!

P.s. I have a Yairi YD-402 old martin copy. The neck has bowed down like the truss rod is too tight....but there is no truss rod!! I think it has a t-bar truss rod, but surely this does not mean it is unmendable????
