I have a friend in Coos Bay, Oregon, who has the same problem with elk. Can you imagine! 2 1/2 times bigger than deer with a commensurate appetite and even less fear. He says they are vermin, pure vermin. He says it isn't even fun to shoot them because every bite reminds him of where the meat came from... :)
