There certainly are some CD's that would scare away both beast and man!
You're probably right about the black netting getting entangled. But it does discourage the deer that were raiding my mother's flower beds. She also has a shotgun but at the age of 92 I'm not sure it would be a wise thing for her to be blazing away with it.
