A lot of phones have labels hidden inside that change colour if they get wet. This tells the manufacturer that you got it wet, so it doesn't matter how much you dry it out and claim innocence - they know you got it wet. You can try to angle for a new replacement, and good luck to ye, but if they tell you it was your fault because you got it wet you haven't a hope.
