Your Diverticular IBD can cause a lot of problems as Spaw said, the pocket can rupture and put the bacteria through the system, that maybe what is going on, they call it micro tears or something like that. Put me in the hospital about 100 times ... if you get running a good fever, go right to the ER room don't mess with it. Right now you don't need a gut surgery on top of everything else.
