Replacing the ever-popular annual Wreck Trek, tonight's walk out to The Wyre Light (1.5 miles) kicks off with registration at the Marine Hall car park in Fleetwood at 6.45pm. A unique opportunity to savour this unique piece of British coastline in the company of hundreds of other hearty souls all under the watchful eye of the RNLI & Coastguard, so if you're in the area its not to be missed!

I've put this into BS, but it really ought to be in Folklore as the Wreck Trek is a well established local custom, hereby modified, for whatever reason, but still likely to attract a fair crowd. Some years have seen more than 1,000, weather permitting of course, but if the portents are right last night's sunset as seen from Fleetwood would certainly be indicative of A Sailor's Delight, so more pics to follow I shouldn't wonder...
