As far as "De mortuis..."--sorry, Michael was a controversial figure--through his own actions.   Anybody who doesn't like the comments is always free withhold their own--including the admonition above--or not even read the thread. Or you could always ask Joe to ban Obit threads--he's already not very enthusiastic about them.

I always think it's interesting to hear the range of opinion.

Hey, it's not that I don't like obituary threads. The informative ones, especially those about folk music figures, are wonderful. It's just that I lost my left testicle over Jade Goody, and I have but one more to lose....
