yerself, I think you've been taken in by a very common American meme; to deny that the Injuns are Natives. Ever since the rectumisation (sorry- colonisation), the settlers were trying to invoke westtern influences- Vikings, Irishmen, Welshmen, even Egyptians (the latest mob being Gavin Whatsisname's Chinese) to explain any traces of "civilisation" amiong the red faced savages.
