We went to a wedding of twenty-somethings, and we were all over fifty and we all cried. The innocence, ignorance, and faith was inspiring, the poetic and creative energy that went into the vows was inspiring, and nothing was as it was in our day, and yet nothing had really changed. So we made warm friendly nice with strangers and had some wine and came home. Maybe life requires a renewal of ignorance in order to keep going.
